It is not every day that you see someone walking on to the stage in that perfect physique at the age of 23. Jake Brailey, British native, recently visited India for Amateur Olympia, 2018. Being a Gold Classic Athlete, he has definitely raised the bar for upcoming body builders. Here is an exclusive conversation with him, where he talks about how he has excelled at his fitness routine to his build for his recent visit to Mumbai.

What inclined you towards fitness at such an early age?

I started with sports and being fit when I was around 12 years or younger maybe. I have always been inclined towards football and athletics. Being very competitive since my childhood, I think having a healthy approach to competing is very important which helps me to improve every day. I have always believed in being the best version of me than comparing myself to others. It is important to include some physical activity in your daily routine. I started enjoying my fitness regimes early on and it gives me a boost to be better each day.

What keeps you motivated?

I think since I love being fit; I don’t need any motivation to go to the gym. I enjoy it so much that following a diet or routine comes naturally to me. I love the whole process; however, the real thing that motivates me on a daily basis is that I want to improve every day. The real motivation is also knowing that I am not only getting stronger physically but mentally as well. I know that I am on the right path when I witness my growth & progress and then I can also educate and teach other people to better themselves, which is a real big deal for me!
